Melanie Hudson– Head Trainer

Melanie has always had a passion for animals and knew at a young age her career would revolve around them. She has been in the animal industry for almost a decade now including working at a dog daycare supervising play groups, pet sitting, volunteering at shelters and wildlife conservations, and becoming a veterinary technician. She was introduced to the sport dog world five years ago and has been actively involved in a variety of dog sports including protection, agility, scent work, and dock diving. She has competed with her personal dog in these sports to which they have achieved several titles and awards.

Through training in her dog sports, she has found a love for dog training and canine behavior. Melanie believes that dogs are just as unique as humans, and training is not a “one size fits all.” She stresses the importance of the relationship between owner and dog. She has worked hard creating the relationship she has with her personal dog to the point he is now both her sport and service dog as he has tremendously helped with her chronic health issues. Melanie wishes to help others achieve the relationship she has with her dog.
